Household chemicals are very firmly and quickly entered our homes. Currently, we are so used to the use of all kinds of detergents that we buy them on the “automatic machine”, without even thinking – do we need them in the volumes that we use on a daily basis? After all, in fact, a long time ago there are well-known tools that have been tested by time and entire generations, which absolutely do not need advertising. Let’s remember what our grandmothers used.
Windows and mirrors
To make the glass Shine, make a solution: 1 tablespoon of ammonia per 1 liter of warm water. Pour into a spray bottle and apply to the glass panes. Then, while they are still wet, RUB them thoroughly with a crumpled newspaper, and then with a dry soft rag. As an alternative to ammonia, you can use raw potatoes. Cut 1 potato in half and RUB it on the glass. Then also a newspaper and a dry, soft cloth.
To properly wash a large mirror, make the first solution. But add 2 tablespoons of ammonia to 1 liter of water. Then exactly the same (newspaper/rags).
Tile, toilet, sink are perfectly washed with baking soda. Pour baking soda on the moistened surface. After 5 minutes, spray the following solution with a spray gun: 1 tbsp. l. vinegar essence 80% per glass of water. After 5 minutes, wipe with a non-rigid brush or brush. Then rinse thoroughly with water and wipe dry.
To make the tile Shine and at the same time protect the surface from fungus, treat with a solution: for 4 liters of water – 100 ml of medical alcohol. Wipe the tile / ceramic surfaces thoroughly and then wipe them dry.
For enamel and ceramics, there is also one good cleaning agent – fine salt and grapefruit. Cut the fruit in half and, dipping the half in salt, RUB the contaminated areas.
Clean electric stove and oven
The glass-ceramic hob can be very easily cleaned with lemon. Cut the lemon and squeeze the juice onto the cooled plate panel, then use the same half to RUB it over the surface. Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water and wipe dry.
In the electric oven, fresh fat is removed with salt (it is better to use small “Extra”). Sprinkle salt on the fat spots. After 5-7 minutes, remove the dirty salt that has absorbed all the fat with a napkin. Soak the burnt baking sheets with warm water, while adding a couple of pinches of baking soda or baking powder for the dough. Let it stand until the water cools down, then just wash it under running water with Laundry soap.
For high-quality cleaning, make a solution: for 1 liter of warm (not boiling water) water, 2 tablespoons of baking soda. With this composition, you need to thoroughly wash the shelves and inside the entire refrigerator. Then wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
To eliminate unpleasant odors in the refrigerator, it is not necessary to buy specialized absorbents. Arrange on the shelves: lemon slices or a few slices of black bread (without raisins).
In fact, there are no incredible secrets of cleaning without chemistry. You just need to remember or consult with the older generation. Basically, the simplest means are suitable for perfect cleaning:
- medical alcohol;
- citric acid (or lemon);
- Laundry soap;
- baking soda;
All this has the same properties as artificial remedies – the only difference is that there are no chemicals and quite significant budget savings.
